Barga is a lively centre only 5 minutes away and has all the necessary services such as schools, banks, doctors, a hospital, shops an open market, a swimming pool, a riding school and lots more. During the summer many events take place which give you the opportunity to taste the delicious local products and enjoy live music. Over the Christmas period and the Epifany other traditional celebrations take place such as ‘singing the Befana!’

Only 15 minutes away is Castelnuovo di Garfagnana the main centre of the Garfagnana area. It is a lively market town that offers plenty of services such as banks, post office, schools, shops and supermarkets. Once a week there is an open market, one of the largest in the area. The town also offers plenty of things to see and do from the Fortezza di Mont’Alfonso and the Rocca Ariostesco to various restaurants, a cinema and a theatre.

Lucca is only 45 minutes away by car and offers restaurants, museums, and other interesting attractions such as taking a bike ride on the Roman walls which surround the city.
